Aero-Naut “Comtesse” our construction report– Part 2 –

Long awaited – here is the continuation of our construction report on the Aeronaut Comtesse!

Now that the hull has already been completed, we’ll take you through the next construction phases. In this part, we report on the further work steps, the materials used and the challenges that arose.

Here we continue. We also intend to plank the transom with three layers, as sufficient mahogany material remains. For this purpose, the frame structure was reinforced, and subsequently, the remaining stern section was closed off in the same manner as the deck.
Now, only the fender strips for the bow area and the side strips needed to be glued, after which we can sand the entire boat and seal it with our HT 2 epoxy resin.
