Battery Regulation

Regarding the distribution of batteries and rechargeable batteries, as a retailer, we are obligated under the Battery Regulation [Law on the Placing on the Market, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Batteries and Accumulators (Battery Act – BattG)] to inform you, the consumer, of the following:

You are legally obliged to return batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can return them to our point of sale, a municipal collection point, or a local retailer.

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg, or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for its classification as hazardous.
