Battery Regulations

In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable batteries, we, as a retailer, are obligated under the Battery Regulation [Act on the Placing on the Market, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Batteries and Accumulators (Battery Act – BattG)] to inform you, as a consumer, of the following:

You are legally obligated to return batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can return them to our point of sale, to a municipal collection point, or to a local retailer.

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg, or Pb) of the heavy metal responsible for their classification as containing harmful substances.
