T-BucketHot Rod Engineering in 1:5 Scale

A T-Bucket lives from its mechanics. Open frame, free-standing axles, massive V8, and exactly as much bodywork as absolutely necessary. We wanted to transfer exactly this character into 1:5 scale.

The ScaleMonkey T-Bucket was designed based on original plans from California Custom Roadsters. Not only do the proportions follow the full-size original—we also deliberately take a different path with materials and manufacturing than in classic RC modeling.

The frame is made from steel profiles and is welded. Suspension components are specially designed and manufactured for the model, and the body is classically made from fiberglass. At the center sits, upon request, a real 44 cc V8 four-stroke engine, for whose integration we have developed numerous components ourselves.

The result is not a finished model that makes every decision for you. The T-Bucket is an extraordinary technical basis for model builders who want to build, tune, and give their vehicle its own character themselves.
