Aero-Naut “Comtesse” Our Build Report– Part 2 –

Long awaited – here is the continuation of our build report on the Aeronaut Comtesse!

Now that the hull has been completed, we’ll take you through the next building phases. In this part, we report on the further work steps, the materials used, and the challenges that arose.

Enjoy reading – and as always, we look forward to your comments and questions!

Let’s continue. We also want to plank the transom with three layers, as there is enough mahogany material left. For this, the frame structure was doubled, and then, in the same way as the deck, the remaining part of the stern was closed.
Now, only the bumper strips had to be glued to the bow area and the side strips, and we can sand the entire boat and seal it with our epoxy resin HT 2.

Doubling of the frames
the first layer of the stern is glued
the third layer is pressed again
