ScaleMonkey stands for sophisticated RC model building \u2013 with the perspective of a manufactory and the attitude of a garage. Precise engineering, high-quality materials, and in-depth model-building expertise meet the fascination for extraordinary vehicles, their technology, and their character. <\/p>

We do not build off-the-shelf models. Our own products arise from the demand to consistently bring together technology, function, and design \u2013 from well-thought-out kits with true self-build character to precisely developed rolling chassis. <\/p>

Our portfolio is supplemented by professional upgrades for selected third-party models and accessories, which we use in our own projects. None of this is chosen by chance. Each part must function, convince, and fit the standards of ScaleMonkey. <\/p>

Developed and manufactured, wherever possible, Handmade in Germany<\/strong>. With technical aspiration, meticulous craftsmanship, and the willingness to take matters into our own hands. We question existing solutions, develop our own concepts, and do not settle for the first best option. <\/p>

Because for us, RC model building is more than just a scale. It is about technology, character, and the aspiration to build something unique. <\/p>

ScaleMonkey is developed and designed in Germany \u2013 with modern technology, classic model-building know-how, and manual work where it makes a difference.<\/p>

Every model begins with the design. With SolidWorks, we develop components digitally, check proportions, functions, and technical relationships, and then bring the design into production. This results in precise, true-to-scale components that not only look good but also function and withstand model operation. <\/p>

For our milled parts, we work with a specialized high-end CNC manufacturing facility in Sankt Augustin. From individual prototypes to series production, components are created there with the precision that our designs demand. <\/p>

We deliberately rely on selected specialists when they can better solve a manufacturing task. The result is decisive for us: clean design, precise manufacturing, high-quality materials, and a component that ultimately does exactly what it is supposed to do. <\/p>

And then comes the part that no CNC machine can replace: adjustment, assembly, finish, and the inspection of every detail by hand.<\/p>

For us, Handmade in Germany does not mean doing everything ourselves. It means taking responsibility for the result \u2013 from the first stroke on the screen to the finished part in your hands. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The History <\/span>of ScaleMonkey<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

My name is Karsten M\u00f6bius. I have been a passionate model builder since my childhood. In 2014, I founded ScaleMonkey \u2013 born from an enthusiasm for extraordinary car models and the ambition to continue model building where standard ends. <\/p>

Models have fascinated me since I was a child \u2013 from small gliders to car models in US quarter-scale. For me, the most exciting part was never just the finished model, but what lies beneath: construction, mechanics, materials, and the question of how a real vehicle can be implemented technically and visually credibly on a small scale. <\/p>

A special milestone was the construction of a Cobra 427 V8 internal combustion engine kit in 1:4 scale by Gary Conley from the USA. A functional V8 as a model \u2013 with genuine mechanical relationships. Exactly such projects have shaped my view of model building: A good model should not only look good. It should be technically convincing and provide just as much joy during construction as it does later in the display case or on the road. <\/p>

The 1:4 scale never truly established itself in car model building. Today, ScaleMonkey therefore concentrates on the established scales of 1:5 and 1:6 \u2013 particularly on vehicles from the era of large internal combustion engines. Vehicles whose character lives not only from their form, but also from their technology, their history, and their mechanical structure. <\/p>

From this passion, we now create our own kits, rolling chassis, and technical upgrades for existing models \u2013 developed for model builders for whom standard is not enough. In addition, we offer selected components and accessories, which we choose according to the same standards we set for our own products. <\/p>

ScaleMonkey remains what it all started with: model building driven by passion, with an eye for technology, and the ambition to do things correctly. If you yourself have ever worked for hours on a detail that hardly anyone notices later \u2013 then you know what it’s about. <\/p>
