My name is Karsten M\u00f6bius, I am from Ulm in Germany, and I am a passionate hobby model builder. Since 2014, I have been operating ScaleMonkey, a platform for model building enthusiasts. <\/p>

Since my childhood, I have been involved in building models \u2013 from small gliders to US quarter-scale car models. I am particularly fascinated by how ideas can be implemented in design and mechanics. A special highlight was the assembly of a Cobra 427 V8 internal combustion engine kit in 1:4 scale by Gary Conley from the USA. <\/p>

The 1:4 scale has not established itself in car model building and is increasingly disappearing from the scene. Therefore, we now focus on the common 1:5 and 1:6 scales. Our focus is on the detailed reproduction of the era of large internal combustion engines. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing processes, models with a special appeal are created \u2013 each one unique, crafted with great dedication and passion. <\/p>

Thanks to our long-standing contacts with model builders worldwide, we always strive for the highest quality and perfection. ScaleMonkey supports you with tricky questions regarding construction \u2013 whether it is about components, design, or special challenges. <\/p>

Our models are created in-house \u2013 from the first stroke to the smallest detail \u2013 with love and dedication. This is how we guarantee you quality and enjoyment of our products, offering much more than just a low price. <\/p>

We develop our models using the 3D software SolidWorks, so we know exactly how they will function and look early in the process. This results in precise, true-to-scale components that can withstand intensive model operation. Our milled parts are manufactured in a high-end CNC milling centre in Sankt Augustin \u2013 from individual parts to series production in certified quality. <\/p>
